Frequently Asked Questions
What insurances do you take?
We are in-network with select Aetna and UnitedHealthcare plans and are currently in the process of getting credentialed with several other New York health insurers. Please check back here or contact us by phone or email for the latest updates.
If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, you can still work with us through self-pay. The rate for an initial nutrition assessment is $100 and the rate for a follow up appointment is $65. We are happy to provide a superbill after your session, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Because every plan is different, we encourage you to check with your insurance provider about your specific benefits for nutrition counseling services. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.
How does it work?
Nutrition is highly individualized, so your care will be tailored to what best supports your needs and goals. Some clients start with a single session to address specific questions, while others prefer ongoing support to dive deeper and build sustainable habits over time. We’re here to meet you wherever you are, and you can always adjust the frequency of sessions as your needs evolve.
For clients who are pregnant, we typically recommend meeting at least monthly. This ensures consistent, proactive support as your nutritional needs evolve and new symptoms arise throughout each stage of pregnancy.
All sessions are conducted virtually via secure video call through the Healthie platform, a HIPAA-compliant electronic medical record designed for health and wellness care. After booking, you’ll receive an invitation to create your complimentary Healthie account, where you can complete intake forms, upload any relevant records, and seamlessly access your sessions at the scheduled time.
